I have some very exciting news to share…on January 5th - Bethany (the love of my life) and I got engaged!
After my kidney transplant on August 29th, 2006, the last thing I thought would happen is that I would meet someone special and fall in love.
After my transplant I was very hesitant to date for a variety of reasons. I wasn’t for sure about the sort of reactions I would get once I disclosed I was a transplant recipient. I didn’t want to involve someone with my health challenges. I simply did not know what to expect in post transplant dating.
As silly as those reasons sound – I did struggle with them.
But when Bethany walked into my life - all of those reasons were swept away. She is truly a blessing and an answered prayer. The love of my life!
Even though we never will know what tomorrow will bring – I know Bethany will always be there for me…loving me and supporting me. We are excited so start our next chapters together and what chapters they will be!!!
