Scott, over at “I am. Are you?” for Donate Life Illinois, has been posting some pretty awesome videos that they’ve been producing as part of their 2008 Campus Challenge – a drive to spread awareness about organ donation on Illinois college campuses and get students to register as donors.
A few weeks ago I posted about Amanda. It was Scott who had a hand in making that awesome video about an incredible girl who donated her kidney anonymously.
This is a video about Meghan – actually, maybe a little more about Meghan’s Dad. She lost her Dad in her teens to liver disease while he was waiting for a second liver that did not arrive in time. She’s helping by telling her story and hoping that others don’t lose the people they love for lack of organ donors.
This video is about Chandler. Like our Melissa, Chandler has a beautiful, new heart.
I think it’s very cool that Scott is involved in the production of these videos – he puts faces out there – and shows others how special organ donation is, whether from the perspective of a recipient or a donor or donor family… I’m also very proud that, in the not-to-distant future – Kari and I will be the subject of one of Scott’s videos!
And as long as I’m posting videos – the other day I posted about Anni and her new liver… Here’s her Mom’s post “How’s Annika?” and a little video that lets us see she’s doing better…
